This e-commerce brand sells for occasions that happen on a calendar. Interest spikes, the date passes, the searches die. The Content Desk built a content system that keeps the traffic instead of losing it each season.
Every occasion the brand sells for comes with a date. So do the searches.
A large share of queries in this market carry a year in them. A guide written for the 2025 edition of an event earns nothing by 2026. The blog was full of dated posts that had already peaked, and every season the site started over from zero.
To make it harder, demand for the brand itself was cooling. Searches for the store’s name fell 13% during the window measured here. Whatever growth came next had to come from strangers finding the site.
Same four Content Desk deliverables, tuned for seasonal SEO.
Each event got its own cluster: an evergreen guide answering what it is and what to bring, plus the product collections that serve it. The cluster is planned once and re-earns every season.
The flagship guide gained 5,000 clicks, up 979% year over year. Half the site’s entire growth came from that one page. It also picked up the new year’s queries from zero the week they appeared.
Year-stamped posts were migrated to evergreen URLs and refreshed each season. The dated version of one guide died with its year, as expected. Its evergreen replacement grew 4,400% and keeps the rankings for next season.
Every guide links down to the collections that serve its occasion. One collection went from near zero to 1,000 clicks. Another grew 1,900%. The best now hold 11 to 18 first-position rankings each.

Seasonal brands usually rebuild their search traffic every year. This one banks it.
That is the evergreen content strategy at work. The guides hold their rankings between peaks, and when the next season’s searches start, the pages only need a content refresh. Each year inherits the last one’s work.
How these numbers were measured. Click and impression figures come from Google Search Console for January 1 to July 31, 2026, compared with the same dates in 2025, so seasonality is held constant. Ranking counts and traffic estimates come from an independent SEO platform. The client’s name is withheld by agreement. I can walk through the raw data on a call.
The Content Desk plans, writes, and reoptimizes every month, so client sites keep what they earn.
