Each skill is a markdown SOP the AI executes. Each stage stops at the end and asks before the next one runs. The AI does the production work. You do the judgment.

seo-system-setup

Run once. It interviews you about your client, niche, services, and voice, then rewrites the other four skills around your answers.

seo-audit

Pulls search and crawl data, classifies findings into quick wins, decay, content gaps, and technical issues, and scores them by impact vs effort.

seo-task-plan

Turns the audit into a month plan that fits your real capacity. Overflow goes to a visible backlog.

seo-execution

Content pipeline with review gates: brief, scored outline, draft, a separate fact-check, then meta and visuals. Plus technical fixes and CMS publishing with backups.

seo-report

Writes the client report from fresh data and the execution log, ending with next month’s task candidates. Those feed the next audit.

Run setup and answer the interview

Open Claude Code in that folder and type the command below. Answer its questions about your client, niche, and services. It rewrites the other four skills around your answers.

Using Codex or another agent? The skills are plain markdown SOPs. Paste a skill’s contents as instructions, or add them to your agent’s instructions file (such as AGENTS.md). The process is the asset, not the tool.

Data connections

Connect your data (optional, recommended)

Every skill works with uploaded exports. Connections just remove the exporting.

Search Console

Connect via an MCP server, or download a 3-month performance export and drop the CSV into your project folder.
A crawler

LibreCrawl (free) or Screaming Frog. Export the crawl and hand the file to the audit. Note: crawlers cannot pull Search Console data; that comes from step 1.
Market data: DataForSEO

Search Console only shows your own site. For keyword volumes, difficulty, live SERPs, competitors, and backlinks, connect the DataForSEO MCP server (affiliate link). Pay-as-you-go, no subscription. Details in the next section.
Your CMS

WordPress: create an application password (admin account) so the AI can publish for you. Shopify: install the official connector. No access? The execution skill outputs upload-ready documents instead.

The skills are tool-agnostic. This is the stack I actually run them on: Search Console for my own data, DataForSEO for everything about the market. Here is what each stage gets from it.

Make it yours

Every time you correct the AI, put that correction into the skill file. Wrong spec? Add it to the MUST GET RIGHT block. Wrong tone? Tighten the voice rules. Your corrections become permanent rules, and the system never makes that mistake again.

Before you ask

What is a Claude SEO skill?

A plain-text SKILL.md file that gives Claude a repeatable procedure for one SEO job: the inputs to gather, the steps to run, the output format, and where to stop and ask you. Drop it in your skills folder and call it by name. No prompting from scratch each time.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The skills are written in plain English. If you can write a checklist, you can edit a skill.

What does it cost to run?

The pack is free. Running it needs a Claude Code subscription (or Codex), and optionally pay-as-you-go API credits for DataForSEO. A full client month costs a few dollars in API calls.

Do the skills require DataForSEO?

No. They run on Search Console exports and a crawl alone. DataForSEO adds the market view: volumes, difficulty, competitors, backlinks, live SERPs. It is how I run them, and the audit and report stages get noticeably sharper with it.

Will it work for local SEO, ecommerce, or SaaS?

Yes. That is what the setup interview is for: it adds niche checks (Google Business Profile for local, product schema for ecommerce) and removes steps you do not need.

Is my client data safe?

Everything runs on your machine with your accounts. Nothing in the pack sends data anywhere you did not connect yourself.

Can the AI break my site?

The execution skill takes a backup before every CMS change and your review gates every publish. If something looks wrong, restore and nothing is lost.
