About Christopher Jan Benitez

Christopher Jan Benitez is a content strategist. He has developed strategies and SEO-optimized articles for Spencer Haws, Steve Toth, Joshua George, and Charles Floate.

A message from the man himself:

I began my freelance writing journey in 2013, transitioning from a traditional job to the dynamic and, at first, scary world of freelancing. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills and specialized in creating engaging, SEO-optimized content that resonates with readers and ranks well on search engines. My work has been featured on sites like Search Engine Journal and Niche Pursuits.

Building a successful freelance career required high-level writing skills and a strategic approach to client acquisition and networking, which I have had to learn and develop since then.

Understanding the value of specialization, I carved out a niche for myself in SEO content and strategy. This focus has allowed me to expand my expertise, reduce competition, and increase my visibility among potential clients seeking expertise in this area.

I’ve learned the importance of creating a comprehensive portfolio that showcases my best work, which has been crucial in attracting high-ticket clients. Networking has also played a vital role, with a significant portion of my projects coming through referrals and professional connections on platforms like LinkedIn.

Since then, I’ve continuously adapted my strategy, embracing tools and best practices that enhance my content’s impact and reach.

Now, other things you may want to know about me:

Music

I played for the band Descant Gott as guitarist from 2005 to 2013. We were one of the finalists in the 2006 Muziklaban Grand Finals.

The band released an album, “Purgatory of the Mind”, on 2018 with my recorded guitar parts.

In 2024, I released an AI-generated lo-fi study music album under my name, “Echoes of Study.” It’s initially meant for personal use, so I can listen to music designed as background music while improving my productivity and focus when doing client work.

I decided to continue creating AI-generated lo-fi study music under different themes. But instead of using my name, I will publish them under the pseudonym Malaisehead (a reference to the 2018 rogue-lite game “Dead Cells.”)

Other Useless Facts About Me

  • I’m a big fan of heavy metal growing, especially NWOBHM. Now, I like sadboi/sadgirl music. Currently listening to Hazlett – Bones Shake.
  • I also accept craft burgers as currency. If you can find a way to send over a good, old-fashioned medium-well cheeseburger for my writing services, let me know.
  • I’m a tool for professional wrestling (it’s still real to me, damnit!). John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship at the 2011 Money in the Bank is one of the best matches I’ve ever seen.
  • Video game enthusiast here. The last game I played was Tekken 8.
  • My goal in life is to be the best person that I can become. No questions.
